Tips for the best results
To elevate your Smoked Sausage and Veggies Bake to culinary excellence, consider these tips.
- Cut your veggies uniformly. To ensure even cooking don’t cut the ،atoes or carrots into large c،ks.
- Add your personality. If you have a favorite seasoning, sprinkle some of it onto the dish.
- Add more herbs. I think freshly c،pped mint mixed with veggies before cooking will really brighten up the flavors. Other herbs that would make a great addition are cilantro, dill, rosemary, thyme, or basil.
- Serve it with sauce. You can serve it with ketchup or ranch dressing, or add a good tables، or two of my tzatziki sauce on top. YUM!
Recipe variations
- Change the veggies. Add some of your favorite veggies to the mix. Great veggies to add are broccoli, zuc،i, cauliflower, asparagus, snap peas, sweet ،atoes, okra, cherry tomatoes, or Brussels sprouts.
- Use different sausages. You can use turkey sausage, chicken sausage, or vegan sausage instead if you’d like.
- Use parchment paper instead of foil. You can wrap the veggies with parchment paper. You can see the details here: ،w to cook with parchment paper
- Switch seasonings. Use your favorite stuff! Fajita or taco seasoning work well here, also this Montreal Steak Seasoning or Chili Seasoning are just perfect for this recipe! You’ll need a few teas،s of alternative seasoning.
- Add cheese. You can add some Parmesan cheese shavings or feta cheese to the foil packets.
How to store and reheat leftovers
To store any leftovers, place them in an airtight container and put them in the refrigerator. They can stay fresh in there for up to 4 days. After that, their textures become softer and wetter, so try to eat them sooner than that for the best taste. When you are ready to reheat your food, place it back on a baking sheet and cook in the oven for about 5-7 minutes. You can also stir fry it on the stovetop or even microwave them if you prefer.
