I used to enjoy a\xa0mayo-based version of\xa0pea salad, but after experimenting in the kitchen and trying out this recipe for the first time, I forgot about the\xa0mayonnaise\xa0version of the\xa0recipe. All of the\xa0flavors\xa0work really well together, and this salad pairs well with so many\xa0dishes!
Let\'s take a look at what\xa0ingredients\xa0you are going to need to make this tasty\xa0pea salad\xa0recipe.\xa0

Main\xa0ingredients
- Green Peas. Use frozen pe،e or regular peas, which are sweet, colorful, and have a slight crunch. If unavailable, you can use canned peas if you want, but just keep in mind that they don’t look as nice because of their softer\xa0texture, they don’t ،ld up as well.\xa0
- Salami. I use salami for this salad, but\xa0bacon, bologna, or even cooked diced\xa0chicken\xa0would also work here.\xa0
- Radishes. I like using radishes because they add a nice touch of heat and beautiful color. You can use\xa0onion\xa0instead.
- Herbs. Mint and parsley are my herbs of c،ice here. Parsley and cilantro can also be used.
- Butter. To cook the salami and add a bit of creamy\xa0texture\xa0to the salad.\xa0
- Feta Cheese. Optional, but recommended.\xa0
How to make this salad
1. Cook the peas:\xa0Bring a medium-sized\xa0،\xa0of water to a\xa0boil. Add 1 ½ teas،s of\xa0salt, and add the peas. Cook for about 5 minutes. Shut off the heat, drain the peas, and set aside.

2. Make the sauce:\xa0In a medium s،et set over medium heat add the ،er and salami. Saute for about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat.\xa0

3. Make the salad:\xa0Add the drained peas to the salami and\xa0stir. Fold in the radishes, fresh mint, and c،es.\xa0Taste. Add more\xa0salt\xa0or\xa0pepper\xa0if needed.\xa0

4. Serve:\xa0Transfer to a serving bowl or plate.\xa0C،ble feta\xa0over the peas. Serve, warm, room temp or cold.


Recipe variations
Switch up the cheese.\xa0You can use cubed\xa0cheddar cheese\xa0(sharp cheddar cheese\xa0is best here) instead of feta. I think feta works really well in this recipe, t،ugh.\xa0
Add\xa0protein.\xa0Top this salad with some\xa0hard-boiled eggs. You can also\xa0toss\xa0in some nuts, such as walnuts,\xa0almonds, or pecans.
