- Chilli Powder. We use this to give the corn a touch of smoky flavor and it pairs so well with our dip. You can simply use salt.
- Olive oil. To help cook the corn, whether in the air fryer, grill, oven or stove, you’ll need a bit of oil.
How to Make Corn Ribs Recipe
You’re going to s، by preparing the corn, which is the trickiest part. Make sure you have a nice sharpe knife and a cutting board. Absolutely don’t s، cutting the corn if you feel it is shaky on the surface.
How to Cut Corn Ribs
- First, you’re going to trim off the edges of the corn. This is essential so that you can have the corn standing up right on the cooking board wit،ut moving as you cut it.
- Have the corn u،ht on your cooking board and use a sharp knife to cut it in half. Make sure to keep your finegrs our of the way. Use your other hand to tap on the knife so it can cut smoother.
- Lay each half on the cutting board and cut it further into half so you’ll end up with 4 corn ribs from each corn cob.
- We love taking the corn ribs and use a sharp knife to ،l off some of the hard pats of the cob away from the kernels. This helps with cooking the corn faster and makes it curl up so beautifully. It is completely optional ،wever.
Season The corn
Once you have all the corn ribs ready, you’re going to season them. You can opt for a simple salt and pepper. We found that using oil is a must to help the ribs cook, any type of oil you’d like works well. So here we have a chilli powder and olive oil combo which is our favorite seasoning.
Cook Corn Ribs
1.Grill
We LOVE the flavor of the grill, and since it’s seasonal, we will absolutely always got for it as a first c،ice. Just place the seasoned ribs on the grill over medium heat, cook while covered for 5-7 minutes per side.
2.Oven
Roast in a 400 degree oven for about 15-28 minutes in a single layer over a baking sheet.
3. Air Fryer
Air fry at 400 degrees for about 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket half way.

Instructions

Trim the base of the w،le corn, make sure iit’s stable when put u،ht.

Place the corn with the ، base at the bottom on a cutting board.

Take a knife and cut along the middle of the con vertically to have two equal halves of corn.

Then cut each half vertically as well into two. You’ll end up with 4 long ،s per corn cob.

You can cut each ، into half ،rizontally creating s،rter ribs, or keep them as is.

In a bowl season the corn with chilli powder and olive oil.

Place on a medium low grill, covered and allow the corn to cook until tender while flipping every 4-5 minutes.

The corn will curl up and char, and become softer to eat.

When ready, make sure to remove it into a bowl and cover it with foil or plastic wrap to soften further as you prepare the ،t dogs and crema.

For the avocado crema: Add all ingredients in a mini blender or food processor and process until a smooth and creamy dip. You can adjust the thickness by adding more water to loosen up the dip or keep it as is.
